The Learning Foundry is a training provider targeting 16-24 year olds in the North West.

The brief – To create a suite of social posts to market new courses for people aged 19+.

The concept – They wanted to produce these social graphics in a light and fun way however still having a lot of copy on them. There was a short timeframe for this brief and also with a new Managing Director joining the company the idea was to use previously scarcely used colours to start bringing in a wider colour palette a lot more.

The outcome – There was a lot of copy to go in each post. I worked with the client to remove some of the text that could go in the copy of the post, relaying the most important information in the graphic, using hierarchy to still make this info pop.

These posts were to advertise new education opportunities, for the posts advertised filled the courses shown and had a reach of 16,192 people between the several posts. I used meta business suite and google analytics to show how successful this campaign was compared to before this campaign had been posted. 258 new users went onto our website via socials while the ad was running compared to the week before when only 101 users found us through socials, an increase in 157 new users finding us while the campaign ran.

The design process – I wanted a lot of hierarchy on this post, letting the leading header do the talking, taking the interest of the viewer to then read on. The design was along the lines of previous designs I have done, moving towards these coloured bars adding a bold, stark contrast to the post as well as adding brand consistency by using these bars more throughout our media. I added a slight darker overlay to the photos in either block colour or gradient, as well as a drop shadow on the white text and logo to add more of an element of contrast for an easier reading and eligible experience for the viewer. This contrast further making the text pop as well, grabing the viewers attention with ease.

The initial client feedback was great! They loved the colours and how the posts were layed out. They were very happy with the speed these posts were produced.

For this campaign we did a sponsored ad on facebook, showing a carousel of the courses offered. We spend just under £70 on this ad from the 14th to the 21st Feb 2023. Here we can see the comparison of website traffic while ad running vs previous week, while the add was running we had over a 50% increase in viewers to the free courses page we linked with the ad. The cost per click was 25p with 277 link clicks onto the website and 8 website form fills while the ad was running with people signing up to courses.
