The Learning Foundry is a training provider targeting 16-24 year olds in the North West.
The brief – To create social posts to show testimonials from learners in an interesting way.
The concept – The Learning Foundry originally wanted to have full testimonials on one graphic, this to me seemed like a lot of text for a graphic; me and the client worked together to come up with a snappy way to display this content.
The outcome – The original posts were long and not fit as the graphic they wanted the content to be included in, so we worked together to shorten down the testimonials ls and add a personal touch with handwritten and hand drawn elements. Doing this makes it more personal and adds to the engagement factor of the graphics. I wanted to add a wider variety of colours which at this point were still in development and yet to be signed off, I wanted to show how valuable these colours are and how much it can bring a graphic to life.
This bold, clean and simple look on testimonials worked with 1,130 insights from this campaign through Facebook and Instagram.
The design process – The design process for these was a bit of trail and error, showing the cleint why so much copy wouldn’t nt work for a mobile friendly graphic. I tried with just Gibson font with the now edited copy however it felt stale and not connecting with the audience, I wnted to add a more personal touch to reflect what was being said. I thought a handwritten element would add an element of it coming from that person directly, then adding the hand drawn elements to really hone that in.
The client feedback was great! They loved the personal touch and the hand drawn elements to add a bit of fun and personality. Even though it is rather simple, the bold and clear impact of this graphic hits ll the same.
